THE PLANS BELOW SHOW A PUBLIC PARK IT FIRST OPENED IN1920 AND THE SAME PARK TODAY. E7GAD
The maps given above illustrate detailed information about changes that occurred in a park throughout a particular period. One map shows the design of the park in 1920 and the other one describes the renovation that happened until today. The Grange Park was opened in the year 1920 and had many leisure facilities for the public. However, parks changed a lot in the last decades and have much more amenities where people can relax and enjoy. The park had two main entrances, one was on the north side of the park through Arnold avenue, the second was in the south direction from Eldon street. Today, both park entrances remained the same. However, the third entrance is constructed for the underground car park on the southeast side of the garden. The central part of the playground had two layered fountains which are modified into a big rectangular rose garden surrounded by seats to admire the spectacular view of rose flowers. It can be clearly seen that the park in 1920 had a small stage for musicians in the west direction and two seats in both corners of the park. Now, they have been replaced by a huge amphitheater for concerts as well as a curved seating arrangement in front of it. The number of the rose garden has been reduced and replaced. There is only one old rose garden. The rose garden, just on the right side of the south side entrance, was changed into a cafe for some food. Also, pond for water plants, transformed into children's play area. Lastly, the glasshouse which was on the right side of the Eldon street entrance renovated into the beautiful water feature.
