The two maps illustrates the differences in the structure of the park, in the year 1920 and in the current scenario.
Overall, the park has undergone many changes and most significantly it has a new underground car parking facility. The fountain in the centre of the park is now replaced with a rose garden with necessary seating area around it. And, the stage for musicians is now replaced with a modern amphitheatre, which can be used for concerts and can accommodate good amount of audience. On the side of the park, rose garden is now changed to a café, while the pond for water plants has been demolished to make space for a children’s play area. Last but not least, the glasshouse near the Eldon street entrance has been replaced with a new water feature.
Despite undergoing many changes the park still retains some of it’s old structure. The entrances to the park remains the same and the rose garden near the stage for musicians retains it’s shape. However, all seats in the park are removed to make needed space for some architectures.
