The pie charts compare the proportion of water usage for various aims in six areas of the world. It is clear that in North America and Europe, the percentage of water used for agricultural occupied the large amount of water, whilst the ratio of industrial in other areas consumed the highest water.
In South America, there was 71% in the proportion of water used for agricultural, while its data for Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia comprised more four-fifths, at 84%, 88% and 81% respectively. Meanwhile, the percentage of industrial consumed the highest water in South East Asia, at 12%, as its figure in Central Asia had the lowest rate, at one in twenty. Significantly, the ratio of domestic’s water purpose in Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia stood at just under one in ten, at 9%, 7% consecutively, compared to the statistic for water used for domestic in South America accounted for 19%.
