The pie charts illustrate the total sales of five different categories of books from the year 1972 to 2012. Overall, it is evident that adult fiction showed an increasing trend in its sales whereas fictions of others had fluctuating proportion throughout the given time span. Firstly, in 1972 the highest sold book was of other category, which had 25% sales in 1972. However, it drastically falled to 20% and 12% in 1992 and 2012 respectively. Similarly, biography had the same scenario during four decades from 20% in 1972 to 15% in 1992 which continued to fall and was 8% in 2012. Moreover, travel fiction noted 15% sales in 1972, which rosed to 18% in 1972, while it again decreased to 10% by the end of the given period. On the contrary, children's book significantly growed from 20% in 1972 to 22% in 1992 and continued to increase upto 25% in 2012, which was second highest sold book among all the other books. Likewise, adults were having 20% of sales in 1972, which got a hike of 5% and reached 25% in 1992, moreover by the end of the given time duration in the year 2012 it had 45% of it's sales, which was all time highest by comparation to other categories.
