Overall, by 2010 Newton Mills has changed in several infrastructures including bridge, farmlands, road and pond. In 1980, there were significant areas for farming. However, in 2010, this land has shrunk and now they are in a limited portion. A Golf club has been introduced in the top-right corner of the mill by replacing the majority of the farmland. In a similar way, a historical centre has come existence in place of the Roman duine which was at the bottom-left corner in 1980. Furthermore, the post office and the shopping centre was also removed and hypermarket took place of that. Furthermore, the location of the bridge has shifted from the North-West to the middle of the river by 2010. The pond also got replaced by the fishing centre and man-made fishing Lake. In addition to this, modern flats have been developed instead of old workers homes. River Esp position has been altered too.
