The pie chart illustrates important reasons of agricultural land becoming less useful. The table explains the various causes that affected different regions of the world in 1990s. In light to the pie chart, it depicts worldwide land degradation causes wherein the maximum part is of over-grazing with 35%, followed by deforestation, the second last is due to over-cultivation and lastly because of other reasons. The table shows land degradation by region causes, the maximum total land degraded is in North America, which is 23%, whereas the least can be seen in the north America region, which is 5% and the middle region stands to 13% which is Europe.
