The maps show the changes to the ground floor of a museum in 1950 and the present day. MBbnp
These two maps demonstrate the arrangement of the ground museum area from the year 1950 to now. Overall, It is noticeable that the last area of the floor facing the entrance had a significant change which increased the number of rooms on the museum’s last underfloor. Firstly, in the year 1950, When looking from the entrance, there were four main areas to display the art products. In the west of the ground floor, This was an area including three rooms to cater some services for consumers such as the coffee shop, the exhibition area, and the library selling books. Facing up with the west area, This area included three rooms to display the art in some period of Europe and Australia. However, the northern floor has a courtyard lengthen from the up corner of the western area to the remains of the eastern area of this floor. Secondly, at the moment, the coffee shop in the western area will be designed again and the toilet will be combined in the same area. Nevertheless, the east area has an arrangement when the area spending for Asian Art instead of Australian Art. Significantly, the area which used as a courtyard would be changed and divided into three similar parts and cater other aims of visitors. The center part which used to display the products associated with the Aboriginal Art of Australia while the left part is used to teach children about the art and the right is used for the same purpose with the down east corner of the map in 1950.
