The maps illustrate an island in the period before the touristic attractions and buildings were constructed and after this. brODX
The maps illustrate the differences between an island before and after touristic attractions were constructed. Taking the whole diagram together it can be clearly seen that the palm trees and the right side of the island (around 50 m^ 2) remain untouched. The size of the island is approximately 1000 m^2. Starting from the left side of the island, the first thing that is encountered are five small lodges that have been erected, surrounding three small palm trees. The lodges are connected by means of a footpath, which also links them to the swimming beach, that is roughly ten meters away from the cabins. In the middle west of the island, right next to the touristic accommodation, a reception has been constructed. A few meters north from this, lies a big restaurant at the bank of the sea. On the contrary, south to the reception, a pier has been constructed, which sailors may use to dock the boats. A vehicle track runs form the pier to the restaurant, surrounding the reception and connecting the middle area with the footpath for the lodges on the left. Right next to the reception, some more cabins have been built up in a circle, which are also connected by means of a footpath. The remaining part of the island is a traffic free area that still keeps the original flora of the territory.
