The maps below show the town of Tennyson in 1990 and the present day.

The given pictures depict the modification of the village in Tennyson from the 1990 to the current state. Overall, it is transparent that this town has transformed from a residential area into an industrialized zone with more modern infrastructure for the purpose of enhancing the living standard of townsfolk. To the north- west, several houses and trees located in the northern coastline were knocked down to make way for new buildings and a modern supermarket. While the biggest house at the top of picture was demolished, the new apartments have appeared to adapt the growth of population. The current construction has taken the place of the traditional accommodation on the left bank of river. To the north-east, there were many trees and two housed sited on eastern coastline, nowadays there is no sign of these houses. Many trees were cut down to give way for the novel factory. To the top of map, the school still stay unchanged, as does two houses behind the hospital has been built opposite it. Additionally, the period from 1990 to present showed the appearance of the ferry terminal along the coast line.
