The maps Illustrate the expansion and renovation of a city from 1950 till now. Overall, there have been several changes, the most noticeable being the increase in population from 20, 000 to 200, 000 due to some additional facilities. In 1950, the residential area was located to the North of the city, which was close to the business district in the middle of the intersection of the two main roads. There was also an airport in the East and a bridge across the river running from the West to the Southeast of the city. Looking at the current maps, the residential area is now bigger in size, surrounding the business district which is also expanded. More than half of the river is turned into a lake with a dam in the beginning. Meanwhile, more roads are constructed and the airport triples in size. There are currently two bridges and two government buildings instead of one as there were before.
