The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

The maps illustrate the present view of a little municipality of Islip and its decided transformation. Overall, it is clear that some modifications are decided in the place of shops; moreover, there will be an addition of new carriageway. However, the school will remain the same while there will be some modifications in housing and park, with the addition of new housing. The most noticeable trend will be the addition of a dual carriageway, and there is the main road in the center of a city which will be the place for only pedestrians. In the north, the shops are demolished, and make a way for the bus station on the right corner, a car park will be across the shopping center. Furthermore, there will be a place for new housing on the right side of the car park. In the south, the park will be shrunk down, and the housing will be shifted towards the left corner beside the dual carriageway due to the addition of a new housing area along with the park. In addition, housing and school on the other side of the carriageway will remain the same.
