The map illustrate the developement of Youngsville in new Zealand throughout the period between 1980 and 2005. As can be seen, a significant amount of green spaces were cut down to make room for others facilities.
The most noticable changes is that all of the trees in the South of Alana river have been replaced by factories and warehouses. furthermore, to the right corner, rows of houses and green area was demolished and substituted by skyscraper and storing places. A new extension of railroad was built running straight north.
To the north of Youngsville, residential area near the river were turned into stadium and parking spaces. Only a small number of trees were still remained to the north of the river. The woodland were cleared to make way for the park. Likewise, a lot more activities were organized on the lake to the north of the map.
Overall, the area was significantly transformed over 25 years.
