In general, the number of books read by women and men witnessed upward trends. Although, in the beginning women read more books than men, the amount of books read by men in the last period increased dramatically and surpassed women.
In 2011, the number of books read by men accounted for 3000, and women read more than men about 2000. It clearly shows the gap between men and women is 2000. From 2011 to 2012, the amount of books read by women and men both increased, however the pace of women was faster than men. There was a moderate climb in the amount of books by women to 8000, and that figure of their counterpart was 4000. In 2012 to 2013, the amount of books read by both genders continued previous trends, yet the number of books read by men suddenly surged and leading the intersection at 10000 books.
After intersection, the number of books read by men continuously grew, that figure of women changed direction and slumped. In 2014, the amount of books read by men experienced a significant increase to 14000, and the figure for women plummet to 7000.
