The line graph illustrates how much oil consumed by inhabitants in 4 different regions over the cousre of 21 years, starting in 2009. Looking from an overall perspective, it is obviously apparent that American use the most amount of oil. In addition, the other striking features are a gradual increase in Middle East and a steady drop in Western Europe & Japan. In 2009, oil consumption in America stood at more 9 million barrels per day, compared to exactly 2 million in China. Over the following 15 years, America’s oil usage reached the peak of around 10 million barrels every day before being anticipated to decrease significantly to below 8 million barrels. Meanwhile, the figure for China is expected to climb continuously to roughly 4 million barrels which then will drop slightly. The amount of oil consumed in Middle East experienced a slow growth and is expected to hit about 3 million barrels per day in 2030. The opposite trend is true for Western Europe & Japan when its figure is anticipated to fall from 4 to 2 million barrel at the end of period shown. Specially, both these major consumers will use the same oil (nearly 3 million) by 2025.
