It is clear that while the numbers of people of Australia from Asia and Other nations rose, the same trend was seen in that of total citizens of three regions. It is noticeable that there was the fastest decrease in the figure for residents from the UK. As can be seen from the chart, standing at over 10 million, the number of Other national citizens living in Australia was twice as many people as that of Asian ones in 1976. Throughout 35 years, there was a growth to 15 million in the demographics of Australian residents from Asia. Meanwhile, the figure for other countries slightly declined to under 10 million, followed by the rise to approximately 15 million in 2006 and then dropped to above 10 million. Looking at the chart in more details, the number of people from the UK, which peaked at just under 15 million, was as many as that of individuals from Asia and other nations in 1976. The years 2011 witnessed a fall to 5 million in the demographics of the UK. The figure for total begin at below 25 million and then fell to roughly 20 million in 1996 before increasing to 25 million at the end of the period.
