Overall, the amount of fish and chips eaten enormously fell, while there was a boom in the pizza and hamburgers consumption. Starting at the highest point in 1975, the fish and chips consumption decreased by nearly 20% 5 years later before arriving at around 90 times in the year 1985. After that, it sharply dropped to around 40 times in the last year of the 20th century, becoming the least popular fast food of the three. The chart compares the typical way of students’ organizing their weekday time in the UK, Japan and Germany. As can be seen that time management of students living in the UK and Germany are somewhat similar, while those from Japan don’t organize their time evenly. It is apparent that learners’ relaxing activities are scheduled for 7 hours, with the exception of Japan (only ⅙ of the day). On the contrary, the Asian nation leads the way in the time spent on studying, surpassing Germany and the UK (13 hours, 9 hours, 8 hours, respectively).
