The bar charts illustrates five countries with the highest quantity of medals in the winter and summer Olympic games of all time. Information about winter Olympics is broken down by three types of medals – gold, silver and bronze. Overall, Germany, Russia and the US are in the list of top countries in both Olympics – summer and winter. The United States got first ranking in summer Olympics with 2500 medals, next one is Russia which got around 1900 medals and the third place is given to Germany with more than 1500 medals. Great Britain and France held fourth and fifth rank with number of medals between 500 and 1000. Another picture can be seen in winter Olympics. The top country by medals is Norway (over 350 medals). The US got second place with 300 medals, while Germany and Russia had third and fourth place with around 250 and 200 medals respectively.
