The given chart compares two sexes in three different age groups in England regarding the proportion of people smoking in the year 2020. Overall, it is clear for both sexes that while people aged from 30 to 40 years old were the least likely to smoke, the highest percentage of smokers were those at the age of over 40. Between the age of 20 and 30, around 28 percent of men smoked, as opposed to exactly 30 percent of women did in England in the mentioned year. When it comes to the period of 30 to 40 years old, the percentage of male smokers was slightly higher than that of female ones (20 percent and around 19 percent respectively) At the age of 40 or above, there was the highest proportion of smokers and the figure for both sexes were similar to each other, with exactly 40 percent for each.
