The graph shows the number of 3D screens between 2005 and 2010. Moreover, the chart illustrates the number of 3D cinema broadcasts worldwide during the period of 2005 and 2012. Overall, it can be clearly seen that there is a high adoption of the 3D technology around the world during the period of 2005 and 2012. In 2005 there were almost no 3D screens or 3D cinemas releases. However, this trend significantly changed after 2009. In 2010, there were almost 40, 000 3d screens and more than 70 3D cinema’s releases worldwide. Furthermore, it can be concluded that between 2005 and 2007 animation was the only broadcasting. Whilst, after 2008 3D cinemas were broadcasting live action and animation. After this period, live action slowly started to dominate the market and in 2012 there was a high increase in life animation as almost one third of the 3D the production was live animation.
