The given graph demonstrates how the rate of women births in the UK changed from 1973 to 2008. In general, there was an upward trend in the proportion of UK women aged from 30 to 39 over a period of 35 years while remaining groups experienced a downward trend. As can be seen clearly, in 1973, the 25 - 29 year-old group was in the first position and still remained after some fluctuation during the whole given period. Moreover, the figures for women who were 30 - 35 years old and 35 - 39 years were approximately 75%, and 40%, respectively in the starting year. While the former increased slightly to roughly 82%, the latter had a significant rise, at 62%. Regarding the other groups including women aged 25 or younger, and 40 or over, there was an opposite trend. The 20 - 25 aged group, together with people aged 40 or more decreased nearly 10% over the 35 years. Meanwhile, women aged 20 or under declined more slightly than two other groups; however, it was overtaken by the 35-39 year-old women.
