The presented bar graph depicts information about the number of criminals who were kept in custody in different countries from 1930 to 1980. All the data was calibrated in thousands. As an overall trend, the incarceration of Great Britain experienced an upward trend sequentially over the period from 1930 to 1980. Furthermore, with the passage of time, the USA and Canada recorded erratic changes in confinement. To begin with, between 1930 and 1940, Australia's imprisonment rate decreased. However, it increased gradually from 1940 to 1940. Unfortunately, it noticed a downward trend in 1980. With regard to New Zealand, the imprisoned criminal rate was about 100, 000 at the beginning of the year. In the year of 1940, the imprisonment rate was halved from that of 1930 as well as almost identical to 1950. In the case of the United States, the confinement rate fluctuated over the given period. Likewise, it hit its peak in the final year with 140000. Between 1930 and 1980, incarceration was recorded in Great Britain, and it gradually increased from approximately 30, 000 to about 100, 000. As noted by Canada, the number of prisoners was 120, 000. Additionally, it noted changes irregularly over the presented period, just like the USA.
