The line graph provides information about three types of crime happened in Manchester city centre between 2003 and 2012. Overall, the rate of burglary fell dramatically while the car theft cases increased over the nine years. Robberies remained the same when comparing to the other areas of crimes. In 2003, the number of burglary happened in the city was less than 3500 and peaked in 2004. But it then dropped significantly to just over 1000 burglaries in 2008. The cases slightly increased after 2008 and there were less than 1500 cases reported in 2012. Among three areas of crimes burglary was the highest crime type which remained in the Manchester throughout the period. The rate of car theft, by contrast, has a diffterent trend. It started less than 2500 cases but the number of car thefts rosed to 2700 in 2012. Moreover, robbery reached to its peak in 2005, which was approximately 900. Robbery remained stable and it fell back to the same number in 2005.
