The graph illustrates the development of population during the period of 1970 to 2010 in Tokyo, New York, Shanghai, Jakarta and Bombai. Overall, it is evident that almost all the cities had a substantial growth of the number of people. New York was the exception as in 1970 had already almost 15 increase in population, and in 2010 went to slightly above 15. Moreover, the graph demonstrates that Tokyo, New York and Shanghai were already experiencing a significant number of persons in 1970, varying between 10 and 20. On the other hand, in the same data, Jakarta and Bombay represented a minor growth in this trend numbering, respectively, less than 5 and 5.
