The graph illustrate the the changes of consumption of spread( margarine, low fat and reduced spreads and butter) in grams. Overall, it can be seen that, the comsumption of margarine and butter decreased, while for low fat and reduced spreads, it rose. First of all, butter was stood up at 140 grams and margarine was plunged around 90 grams, in 1981. From 1986 to 1996, butter dropped dramatically to 70 grams, then slightly fall to 50 grams till 2007. After that, margarine increased gradually to 100 grams and remained constant till 1996. Between 1996 to 2007, it fall slightly and hit a low of at 40 grams. In 1996, low fat and reduced spreads started with only 10 grams. After 5 years, it increased significantly to 82 grams and fall slightly at 70 grams in 2007. According to the graph, the consumption of spread peaked at 160 grams and dropped dramatically at 40 grams.
