The given graph illustrates data about numbers of eaten hot dogs and buns at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Championship since 1970. In general, the figures showed an upward trend, which means that the record amount of fast-food eaten by the winners has been changing by each year. The high point was being reached in 2018; there were more than 70 eaten hotdogs and buns. It can be seen from the graph, that in the first decade of the period given, competitions were held only 4 times. Then, over twenty ears, the numbers rose negligibly, showing its lower point in 1888, when the number of hotdogs eaten was only over 10. Since 2000, the numbers increased significantly with figures going from approximately 25 in 2000 to 50 in the next year. Over the next 20 years, numbers fluctuated and hit the peak point. To conclude, according to information selected by Harvard Sports, the amount of all fast food consumed during the eating contest increased considerably throughout the period shown.
