The data has been calibrated in dollars. Overall, the income of both men and women physicians increased over time. However, male doctors earn more than females as primary caretakers as well as specialists in both years. It is evident from the graph that in primary care the revenue of women physicians had increased by 51000 dollars from 141, 000 dollars in 2012 to 192, 000 in 2016. A similar trend had been shown by the earnings of physicians who were male and their earnings reached 225, 000 dollars in 2016. Shifting attention towards the remaining data, it can be seen that the revenue of women specialists had shown a substantial increase of 69, 000 dollars. The dramatic surge of 82, 000 dollars can be seen in the earnings of male doctors in specialties from 242, 000 dollars to 324, 000 dollars in 2012 and 2016 respectively.
