The line graph illustrates the amount of fish and three kinds of meat namely Chicken, Beef and Lamb that people of European country consumed each week over the course of 25 years, starting in the year 1979.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the consumption of fish showed a slight fluctuation during the given period; meanwhile, this figure for Beef, Chicken and Lamb changed dramatically from the year 1979 to 2004.
Starting with more than 50 grams each individual per week, the fish consumption minimally declined for the next five years until 1984, followed by fifteen years of stability. In 1999, this amount decreased a little and then nearly remained unchanged until 2004.
However, the consumption of beef and lamb with very high start points of more than 250 grams and 150 grams each person a week had experienced a wild fluctuation with many years of up and down over 25 years and had the main tendency to diminish up to the year 2004. Unlikely these two kind of foods, the Chicken consumption with a rather lower start point than Lamb tended to soar rapidly and reached its peak of more than 250 grams each person each week in 2003, after which stopped in 2004 with a small decline.
