Sharing the household chores in your family

I am living in a nuclear family with my parents and me. Every day, we are both quite busy. My father usually works all week. I spend the majority of my time studying. So, my mother is in charge of everything at home. When the country implements social distancing because of Covid-19, my family spend a lot of time together. My dad and I are aware of how difficult it is to do all the housework alone. We all agree that everyone in the family should share the household chores equally. My father is the strongest member in the house. His responsibility includes washing the motorbike, fixing things around the house and doing the heavy lifting. He also mows the lawn once a week. My mum does most of the cooking and grocery shopping. To her, cooking is an art. She always enjoys cooking homemade meals because they are less fattening and more nutritious. In addition, tidying up the kitchen and the living room is also her duty. In my daily schedule, I sweep and mop the floor, water the plants and set the table for meals. I also help my mom to wash the dishes. We do our share of housework willingly because it is good for all the relationships within the family. We all know that many hands make light work. When everyone contributes to the household duties, the burden is reduced and everyone feel happier than ever.
