The graph below shows the average number of Vietnamese people travelling each day by car, bus, motorbike between 1990 and 2015 8x5KB
The line graph compares figures for daily travel by workers in Vietnam using three different forms of transport over a period of 25 years. As can be seen that while the numbers of people who use the car and motorbike increase gradually, the number of bus users falls steadily. Also, the motorbike is by far the most popular means of transport for Vietnam commuters throughout the period shown. In 1990, around 2 million Vietnam commuters traveled by motorbike on a daily basis, while the bus and car were used by about more than 4 million and almost 2 million people respectively. In the year 2005, the number of those driving to work by motorbike rose to almost 6 million and the number of commuting cars and buses reached almost 4 million. However, there was a small drop of approximately 0. 5 million in the number of bus users. By 2015, the number of people who commute by motorbike is expected to reach 14 million, and the number of car users is also predicted to rise, to nearly 8 million. By contrast, buses are predicted to become a less popular choice, with only 1, 5 million daily users.
