The graph illustrates the average number of people in UK who are travelling everyday by car, bus or train from the year 1970 to 2030. Overall, the number of people who travelled by car increased rapidly between 1970 to 2020 and also most of the public will choose to travel by car in the year 2030. Additionally, it is also observed that a least number of people preferred to travel by bus from the year 1970 to 2020 and the same trend will continue in 2030. On th other hand an upward trend is observerd for the number of people who travelled by bus from the year 1970 to 2020 and this trend will continue upto 2030. To begin with, the number of people which are below 6 millions travelled by car in the year 1970 and that trend was approximately constant till 1980 and later on, in the year 2000 the number increased significantly above 6 million and after that it slightly decrease in 2010 and then it showed and upwar trend in the year 2020 and that trend continued upto 2030. In contrast, the number of people who were travelling by bus decreased rapidly and it invloved some fluctuation till 2020 and that will continue till 2030. Meanwhile, the population slightly below 3 million opted for train in the 1970 and that increased to 3 million in 2000 and that number was constant till the year 2010 and subsequently, there was a drastic increase in the number in 2020 and that trend will continue in 2030.
