The line graph represents USA’s energy consumption trend since 1980 to forecasted till 2030 based on information from a 2008 report. At a Glance, there is a gradual increase in the consumption of petrol and oil, while Coal and Natural gas consumption follows a same trend. There is a drop in consumption of Natural Gas, Petrol and oil from 1980 to 1985, afterwards there is an increase in the only. At 2030 Petrol and Oil will be having the highest consumption estimated almost 50 Quadrillion units followed by Coal with an estimated of 30 Quadrillion units. There is not much increase in the consumption of Natural Gas showing an increase of merely 5 Quadrillion units as compare to coal and Petrol. Hydropower, Nuclear and Solar/Wind are on the Bottom with the lowest consumption.
We can conclude from the graph that consumption of energy from renewable sources like Hydro, Wind, Solar is at the lowest. While the consumption of energy from Non-Renewable sources like Coal, Petrol are on the max and most of the energy is getting produced by Non-renewable sources only.
