The line chart depicts the comparison between manufacturing and utilization of energy in the United States from 1950 to 2000. It also estimates trend up to 2050. Between 1950 and 1970, the rate of production, as well as consumption, surged by 30 units. However, then the exhaustion of energy was rose dramatically while the creation maintained a plateau by numerous ups and downs for 5 years. Moreover, till 2000 the difference between the production and consumption became wider, to be precise 25 units. Moving further, there was a sudden increase in the depletion of energy from 2000 to 2012 by 20 units while the mass production slowly elevated by 10 units in the given interval of time.
