The graph and bar chart below show the average monthly rainfall and temperature for one region of East Africa

The line chart and bar chart illustrate the average amount of rainfall and temperature per month in a specific area in East Africa. Overall, Rainfall and temperature witnessed a significant fluctuation over the course of a calendar year. In particular, rainfall was the highest in April while monthly figure for temperature hit its peak in March. Between the months of January and April, the average temperature in this region rose from the lowest point at around 19°C to a peak of 23. 5°C. The figure for precipitation also stepped up over the same period, from 20mm in January to approximately 280mm in March. However, from May onwards, the amount for both criteria varied considerably. The average rainfall recorded a drasmatic fall to just under 15mm in June, which was much lower compared with the month before. Similarly, temperature also fell too just under 20, 5°C, which decreased by 3°C. Over the following three months, whilst the figure for precipitation remained relatively stable, the amount for temperature increased to nearly 23, 5°C in October. The final three months of the year saw a substantial fall in temperature to 21, 5° C in December, while the figure for rainfall featured a rise to more than 100mm in October ans November before dropping to haft of that amount at the end of year.
