The given table indicates actual and estimated figures for citizens in three various cities, namely Sao Paulo, Jakarta and Shanghai in the years 1990 and 2000. Overall, it is obvious that the number of actual population in 1990 was lower than the number of that in 2000 in the two cities Sao Paulo and Jakarta. The figures for predicted citizens in 2000 were much higher than the figures for citizens in fact in all three cities shown. To begin with, actual population in Sao Paulo and Jakarta in 1990 was 15 million people and 9.5 million people respectively, they were lower than actual population in 2000 in these two cities. While, the figure for actual population in Shanghai in 1990 was 13.5 million people, it was higher than the figure for actual population in 2000, with only 12.5 million people.
