The provided tabular data illustrates the amount of areas covered with the forest in the world. Overall, it is evident that in some continents such as Asia as well as Europe, forested area increased in period of 25 years; while, in the remained continents, it decreased. To begin with, in 1990, Europe consisted the highest proportion of forest covered land which was 989 million hectares. This trend showed slightly rose in next 15 years and reached at 1001 million hectares in 2005. However, South America had the second largest forest in the globe. It declined noticeable in the following fifteen years. Moreover, Africa covered 749 million hectares in 1990 which also fell significant till 2005 and reached to 691. On the contrary, Asia showed opposite pattern. In 1990, Asia had 576 million hectares forested land which surged upward and climbed to 584 million hectares. In North America, forest area was 708 million hectares. It slightly decreased by 3 million hectares in 2000 and remained constant till 2005. Apart from that, Oceania had 199 million hectares in 2009 which fell by 2 million hectares in 15 years and reached to 197 million hectares.
