The given line graph illustrates how much paper, wood pulp and sawn-wood produced in Britain between 1980 and 2000. Overall, the manufacture of paper and packaging was an upward trend, the opposite was true for the others throughout the period shown. Moreover, the most sharply increased was witnessed in paper and packaging production. In 1980, the amount of paper and packaging produced was more than 230 million tonnes, while that of wood pulp and sawn-wood were lower, at 170 and 200 million tonnes respectively. During between 1980 and 1990, there was a slight fluctuation in wood pulp production before increasing in later years. Noticeably, the year 1990 saw a gradual decline to 150 million tonnes in both wood pulp and sawn-wood. The data about paper and packaging showed a dramatic growth from 250 to 350 million tonnes over a 10-year period starting from 1990. And in 2000, the production of paper and packaging peaked at 350 million tonnes, meanwhile the figure for sawn-wood was a hit the lowest point of about 130 million tonnes. At 160 million tonnes, the production data of wood pulp was higher than that of sawn-wood.
