Overall, the most significant increment is that oil production occurred upward trend in most of the countries. According to the graph, Iran happened an upward tendency of producing between 1990 and 2010. At the same time, both Iraq and Kuwait doubled their output. Kuwait production increased from 1. 8 to 3. 8 million barrels per day whereas oil production in Iraq reached to almost 4 million barrels per day. Iran will also increase its output by a slightly smaller amount. After remaining static at 2. 5 million barrels per day from the year 1990 to 2000, the amount produced in UAE expected to approach 4 million barrels per day in 2010. Qatar’s production is predicted to fall, back to 0. 8 million bpd after a slight rise in 2010. In contrast, Saudi Arabia outcome resulted a great impact in these years. In 1990, its output capacity was at 8. 5 million bpd which was more than the capacity of all those countries. Its output reached to 14. 5 million bpd at 2010 while most of the countries were at around 4 million bpd. In the end, Saudi Arabia will keep and strengthen its position as a lead producer.
