The given chart illustrates data about the proportion of population 65 and over in three countries over a 50- year period between 1980 and 2030. Overall, what is stand out the graph is that there were considerable upward trends in the number of all three countries. Also, the percentage of elderly citizens in Germany is predicted the highest while that of Canada was lowest. In 1980, the proportion of elderly population in Germany stood at 15 percent, while the number of seniors in Canada figured less than Germany just 5%. The percentage of old people in UK was 13% in the same year. In the next twenty years, there was a dramatic increase in the number of elderly population in Germany and Canada, both of them rose 5% to 20 and 15 percent in turns. Also, the percentage of 65 and over person in UK grew slightly around 2 %. In 2030, it is expected that the number of elder who living in Germany will peak a top with 25%. Almost 22% people will be seniors in Canada whereas that in UK still less than 3%.
