This pie chart shows the consumption of water for different purposes in industrial, agricultural and domestic use in six regions of the world ( North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia).
Firstly, as industrialized countries, North America and Europe used water for industrial use the most at 48% and 53% respectively while the other four regions used the least with 10% in South America, 7% in Africa, 5% in Central Asia and 12% in South East Asia.
For the Agricultural use of water, Central Asia is the most used water for the agricultural purpose with 88% followed by South East Asia is 81%, Africa is 84% and 71% in South America and it is about the consumption of 2- 3rd of water for these four regions.
Whereas the domestic use is the least in all six regions, South America used the domestic water the most with 19% and Central Asia and SouthEast Asia used at least 7% followed by 9% in Africa, 13% in North America and 5% in Europe.
