The following table provides the data of e-waste (in tonnes) trashed and recycled in 2010 all around the world. mY8O
The table gives information on e-commerce waste which were trashed and recycled in 2010 everywhere on earth. Overall, it is evident that computers are recycled at a larger rate when compared to mobile devices. Apart from this, despite televisions being the highest to be disposed, only one fourth were able to be recycled. To begin with, over nearly one million tonnes of e-waste was trashed in 2010 in which television and monitors held the highest rate. The least product which was trashed was mobile devices. In addition, more than one hundred thousand were contributed by hard copy devices and computers. Moreover, despite recycling most of the products only less than half of the waste disposed was recycled. In general, nearly half of the computers were recycled. Also, about 33 per cent of monitors and hard copy devices were recycled. However, the rest of the items were recycled less than 20 per cent. To conclude, in my point of view, it is obvious that majority of the e-waste went into trash rather than be recycled.
