The diagrams give information about an appartment block and a house were built with structures that help minigate the effects of earthquakes. Both of buildings are rectangular and both have flat roofs are made of concrete. They have some steel pillars going deep below to support the ground level, too. However, the appartment block also have rubber section to absorb shock of the earthquakes. ' And of course, the appartment block is much taller than a house so the walls are conctructed using concrete like the roof too. Some metal bars are placed in each wall to support them. Specially, the sprinkler system is installed to prevent fires. On the other hand, the house is made of hollow bricks, because if they fall, it will cause less damage and impact. The recycle stones was used under the floor. They were taken from destroyed houses to save the cost. Overall, although two types of building designs are very complex, they also have some same point. They clearly show how to protect a building from the effects of earthquakes
