Overall, the life cycle of the silkworm has 4 main stages, including eggs, worm, larva, and cocoon And producing of silk cloth has 5 major stages involved, select, boil, unwind, twist, and weave The cycle of silkworm metamorphosis started from eggs laid by the moth. After 10 days, the eggs will be generated. The silkworm larva usually consumes mulberry leaf to help them grow to the larva in the time range of 4 to 6 weeks. The larva contains material that is useful to create silk thread. In the next 3 to 8 days, The larva will transform into a cocoon which is the prominent element in making silk cloth. The production of silk cloth began with selecting the best quality of cocoon and the chosen one will be boiled in water. Then, the boiled cocoon will be unwound which will produce exactly 300 to 900 meters of thread. The tread then will go through twisting, dying, and weaving until it produces the best quality of silk cloth. In conclusion, The life process of silkworm has 4 major process which takes almost a year to complete the whole cycle and there are And 5 major stages to produce silk cloth which begin from selecting the cocoon and end with weaving
