The diagram shows the way in which olive oil is produced. Overall, there are seven stages in the process beginning with picking fresh olives from trees and ending with packaging and sale of the final product. To begin with, riping olives are picked from trees and then undergo a rinsing process where they are washed in cold water. Afterwards, they go through a belt machine which they go to a smashing machine. Once the olives have been smashed, they separate to either olive paste or olive stone. Following this, the olive paste is placed in a bag with some holes. Next, those bags are put into a pressing machine, where any excess water is removed from the oil. Finally, the olive oil is packaged and delivered to shops so as to consume.
