The picture illustrates how chocolate is made. Overall, it is clear to be seen from the chart, there are 10 main stages in the process of making chocolate, beginning with planting cacao tree and ending with pressing chocolate. At the first step of chocolate making process, farmers grow cacao tree in South America, Africa and Indonesia and harvest ripe red pods. After that, pods harvested are split to take white cocoa beans for next step. In the third stage, the cocoa beans are fermented in a banana leaf wrapper and then they are spread under the sun to dry. Next step, the cocoa beans are divided into large sacks. The sacks of seeds will be transported to the factory by train or lorry to complete the next steps. In there, the beans are roasted at about 360 Celsius and after that they are removed outer shell and crush into small pieces. The beans which are selected will be pressed to create liquid chocolate.
