The diagram illustrates how rainwater is accumulated for the purpose of drinking in an Australian town. The water collected can be used for drinking after it goes through several filtering processes and treated with chemicals. The first basic step is, the water is collected using a drain which falls on the rooftop. Then it is carried by pipes underground to the water filter. Which then filters out any impurities. Once it has been filtered, it continues along the pipes to the storage which is then transferred to treat the water with chemicals in order to make it fit for consumption. When the water is ready for drinking, it travels along the pipes that lead back into the houses in the town where everybody can use the water for daily consumption. Usually, taps are used in this process that helps people drink water it is also usually called as 'Tap water'
