The fish salmon has a simple yet long life cycle, it takes about seven stages for salmon to be completely developed as shown in the diagram above.
The first stage is when the eggs are hatched in approximately three months and it then feeds off the yolk sac for numerous months and evolves into an alevin. Later on, it develops into a fry which is about five to ten weeks old furthermore, it starts swimming as well. Lingering marks are formed on the skin of the underdeveloped fish after several months and it is now known as a Parr. when the fish about one to three years old, it is called a smolth and will group and start swimming out in the ocean.
Furthermore, during its adulthood, it spends about one to five years swimming at the sea. At the last and final stage, it fully develops into a spawning adult. The developed fish spawns and passes away within 2 weeks.
