The table shows the percentages of the expenditure on 3 different goods in five major countries in the year 2002. It is clear that all the countries spent most if their money on Food/Drinks/Tabacco while the least amount went to Leisure/Education. Overall, Turkish were more attracted to consume these items whereas Swedish showed less attention to these categories. 32. 14% national consumer expenditure went to Food /Drinks/Tobacco in Turkey in 2002, which was the highest percentage shows on the table. Irish consumer also spent a noticeable amount on the item at 28. 91% ( the second highest expenditure). Ireland and Turkey, in contrast, consumed only 2. 21% and 4. 35% respectively on Leisure/Education. However, all the five countries spent almost similar amount on Clothing/Footwear. Moreover, Italy, Spain and Sweden consumed almost same amount of Food/Drinks/Tobacc. The lowest expenditure by any countries in this given year was on Leisure/Education at 1. 98%, spent by Spain.
