The picture illustrates the cycle of water on earth known as the hydrologic cycle. The main stages of this cycle are evaporation, condensation and precipitation. The hydrological cycle starts from the evaporation stage from the oceans and land. The land evaporation stage is known as the evapotranspiration stage. This stage is cause by the heat of the sun. This evaporated water vapor then condenses to form clouds that mark the second stage. This stage is known as condensation. The next stage is the precipitation stage, which is the process of the descent of water to the earth. At this stage the water falls through several routes including snow and rain. The last stage of the hydrologic cycle is infiltration.
