You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The diagram below shows the development of cutting tools in the Stone Age. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

The diagram illustrate the shape of the cutting tool used in the stone age from three points of view which are front, side and back. Also, it present a comparison with a more advanced tool used 0. 6 millions year after the original one. Overall, it can be acknowledged that tool B which is used 0. 8 million years ago is certainly more advanced than tool A which is used 1. 4 millions years ago yet both tools maintained the same height. Firstly, looking at the cutting tool form the front view, it can be seen that tool A is much thinner than tool B. However, tool B has a much smoother body. Secondly, by looking at the side view we could compare the depth of both cutting tools. From that, tool B is much smaller in depth than tool A which consequently makes it much sharper. Finally, the back view look quiet similar to the front view in both tools with tool B being wider than A nonetheless much smoother.
