This digram shows a number of design principles for an energy-efficient house and how they work in warm and cold climates. According to what is shown, in a warm climate the sun shine fell on the roof but it is reflect because of a material that covering the whole roof. Then, you have an underground floor that retent the heat and the heat flow outside. Also we have insulation and that a material prevent heat from passing through it. And in this case it prevent the heat from going inside. While in cold climate, the sun light goes in and the it maximize with heat in triple-glazed. While we have an underground floor sun protection that to protect the floor from the sun. And here also we have insulation but in this case it did not prevent heat to go inside, instead it prevent heat from going outside. To sum up, we could say that the house works completely different in each climate and this is smart design in my opinion and most thing make astonished about is actually the house is energy-efficent. And thar is a great thing in my opinion.
